Share a Perception Analyzer Memory and Win an iPad Mini!
In 1984, Apple released the Macintosh Computer, the movie “Spinal Tap” hit theaters and Transformers became the hottest toy on the market. Also that year, a DOS-based system using a hardwired dial with a standard rheostat interface was introduced as a way of collecting the in-the-moment opinions of focus group respondents. Thus, the Perception Analyzer® was born.
Through the years, the Perception Analyzer dials have revealed thousands of stories about products, messages, media programs, advertisements and more. Now, we want to hear your story…
This year, marks the 30th birthday of the Perception Analyzer and Dialsmith is celebrating by inviting you to share a memorable story, anecdote or photo from your experiences with the Perception Analyzer. Your submission will be used for our “30 Years of the Perception Analyzer” Scrapbook and will qualify you for a chance to win an iPad Mini™.
To enter a submission:
- Send your story, anecdote or photo to news@dialsmith.com
- Photo submissions should be 1 MB or less
- Story submissions should be 100 words or less
- Up to two entries per person will be accepted
- Entries are now officially open and will close Aug 15, 2014
- The winner of the contest will be notified by Aug 27, 2014

Sweepstakes rules
By submitting your photo or story, you are granting permission to Dialsmith to use it for promotional purposes. Only submissions received by 5:00pm PDT on Aug 15, 2014 will be eligible. Dialsmith shall select the prize winner on or about August 27, 2014 (“Selection Date”) by random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Winner will be notified via email. The only entries that will be considered eligible entries are entries received within the time frames described above. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. No purchase is necessary to enter the sweepstakes. You must be 18 years or older to enter. Dialsmith employees and their family members are not eligible to win. Void where prohibited. The iPad Mini is priced at $399, however we reserve the right to substitute a similar prize that is of equal or greater value.
